Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival: Is the Sip & Savor Pass Worth It?

Traveling together has become one of our favorite traditions as cousins. Our first Disney trip together was a Walt Disney World Resort vacation in 2022, before either of us worked in the travel industry. That trip was actually booked through a Never Look Back Vacations agent, and it ended up changing a lot for us as it inspired us to join the agency not long after! Since then, we’ve taken about seven Disney trips together(all in the name of research, of course!)

Last spring, we added the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival at the Disneyland Resort to our list. It ended up being such a fun way to experience the park — and we quickly learned that if your goal is to try as many items as possible, sharing is the way to go.

The festival offers a Sip & Savor Pass, which lets you pre-purchase a set number of tasting portions (usually 4 or 8). Each tab can be redeemed for a festival food item at the themed marketplace booths set up throughout Disney California Adventure Park. When we visited, we each purchased our own pass — but we quickly realized we probably could have shared one and still tried everything we wanted.

The tasting portions are surprisingly generous. After two or three items, most people will already be pretty full. Sharing allows you to try more dishes without tapping out halfway through the afternoon.

For two people who want to sample several dishes, sharing a Sip & Savor Pass can be a great strategy. Larger groups or families may want more than one pass if they plan to try a lot of the menu. On the other hand, if you only want to try one or two items, the pass probably isn’t necessary and paying individually may make more sense.

Our biggest tip is to look at the menu before your trip and make a list of what you want to try. That will help you decide if the Sip & Savor Pass is the right choice for your group. You can check out the 2026 menu here: Disney California Adventure – 2026 Food & Wine Festival

In addition to the festival marketplace booths, you’ll usually find wine flights, craft beer flights, and specialty cocktails highlighting California wineries and breweries. Some quick-service restaurants around Disney California Adventure Park even offer limited-time Food & Wine menu items, so there are special bites to discover beyond the booths.

For those familiar with EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World Resort, the biggest difference is that the Disneyland Resort festival offers the Sip & Savor Pass while EPCOT is pay-per-item. The festival at Disney California Adventure Park is also smaller and easier to navigate, which makes it easy to mix festival snacking with rides throughout the day.

The festival kicks off this weekend and runs through April 27th, 2026. Even though we won’t be attending this year, it’s an event we definitely recommend if you’re planning a spring trip to the Disneyland Resort.
