Adult – Only Trip to Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resorts

    February 24, 2025 /

When people think of Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resorts, they often picture families with kids, strollers, and Mickey ears. But these iconic destinations aren’t just for children—they’re perfect for adults looking to reconnect, recharge, and enjoy some unforgettable fun. Jeremy and I recently had our first adult-only trip in years! We had so much fun and we got to be kids again, without having our kids join us.  Taking a vacation without kids isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Here’s why: ✨Reconnecting with Your Partner or Friends Life can get busy, and sometimes relationships take a backseat to responsibilities. For us, life is work, kids, house work and repeat. This…

EPCOT holds a special place in the hearts of many Disney enthusiasts, myself included. There’s something truly enchanting about wandering through its gardens and pavilions, but during the International Flower & Garden Festival, the park transforms into a floral paradise unlike any other. From February 28th to May 27th, guests are treated to a spectacle of vibrant colors, delicious aromas, and a plethora of activities that cater to all ages. One of the highlights of the festival is undoubtedly the stunning topiaries that adorn the park. 12th Night Celebration: An 18th Century Christmas Story

    July 29, 2024 /

During the 18th century, Christmas and the holiday season was celebrated a little bit differently than it is today. Santa had yet to become popular, Christmas trees were not brought inside homes, and it was more of an adult holiday than the children’s focused holiday we have today. For four years, I worked at Pottsgrove Manor in Pottstown, Pennsylvania as their Museum Assistant. 12th Night was my favorite time of year! I loved decorating the manor house in garland with candles and enjoyed giving tours to guests where I talked about the Potts families holiday celebrations and how they were very different from what we have today. Let’s travel back…

Merry and Bright: Celebrating the Christmas Season at the Walt Disney World Resort

    July 15, 2024 /

Picture this: you’re walking down Main Street, U.S.A., the smell of cookies is floating out of The Confectionary, holiday music surrounds you like the warm hugs Olaf likes, Cinderella’s castle awaits, it’s snowing…wait, rewind. It’s snowing? Yup! Snow! Well, snoap, beautiful, fluffy snowflakes made of soap, if we are being technical. As a December baby, Christmas has always been my vibe. The joy of the Christmas season is infectious, and I’d likely live in a Christmas bubble permanently if I could. And living in New England often feels like winter never ends. You can’t convince me that there is anything more magical than when you combine the magic of the…

Paris during the Holidays: A City of Sparkling Lights and Snowy Dreams

    July 1, 2024 /

“There are only two places in the world where we can live happily: at home and in Paris.” -Ernest Hemingway The Magic of Paris This happiness is no exception during the Holiday season! Paris is even a better idea during Late November and all of December. I last explored this magical city on a mother-daughter trip in December for all things festive. Parisians know how to live, how to celebrate, and how to love. That magic is in the air everywhere, but most especially during the Holidays. My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our merry time!  The extra magic of Paris throughout the holidays somehow allows the centerpiece and symbol…

Wine, Dine, and Unwind: Discovering the Magic of Napa Valley

    June 24, 2024 /

A non-negotiable for the first mommy/daddy-only trip almost a year and a half after our daughter was born was to go somewhere neither one of us had ever been before.  After taking a Masterclass series hosted by James Suckling, a quick decision to go to the California dubbed “Wine Country” was made.  But how exactly do we pick, or let alone even begin to decide, which areas to focus on in the long weekend we were taking in an area with over 800 wineries?   Thanks to credit card points, hotel rewards perks, and membership to Total Wine, here is how we were able to plan our long weekend in the Napa/Sonoma/Healdsburg area. My…
