Babymoon Bliss at Sandals Royal Curaçao
There’s something extra special about a babymoon — a chance to slow down, soak in time together & celebrate this sweet season before everything changes. In June 2025, my husband & I spent 5 nights at Sandals Royal Curaçao & it was truly everything I hoped for & more.
Why We Chose to Travel in the Second Trimester
Traveling during my second trimester ended up being perfect. I had more energy, felt like myself again & was still able to move around comfortably. If you’re considering a babymoon, this window felt like the sweet spot — I could fully enjoy the experience without feeling limited.
Seamless Arrival & Easy Transfers
One of the first things I appreciated? How easy it was to get there.
Once we landed, there’s a dedicated Sandals desk right outside of baggage claim, where we checked in for our included shared shuttle transfer. From there, it was about a 45-minute drive to the resort — and something that mattered a lot to me while pregnant: the roads were primarily flat & smooth. No long, winding, or bumpy rides — which made the transfer feel comfortable & stress-free.
First Impressions of the Resort
From the moment we arrived, Sandals Royal Curaçao felt like a true escape. The property is stunning — modern, open & surrounded by the beautiful ocean. It’s the kind of place where you instantly exhale.
And the best part? Everything is taken care of.
What’s Included (and Why That Matters)
One of the reasons I love Sandals for a babymoon is how effortless it is. Everything is included, which meant we could truly relax:
- All food & dining
- Unlimited drinks (mocktails for me, cocktails for my husband!)
- Daily entertainment

- Our room accommodations
- Pools (including the iconic infinity pool)
- Fitness center, pickleball, bikes, snorkeling & more

Not having to think about logistics, tipping, or extra costs made the entire trip feel easy & elevated — exactly what I wanted during this season.
Let’s Talk About the Food
The food at Sandals Royal Curaçao truly exceeded our expectations & was such a highlight of our stay.
Our favorite dinners included:
- Butch’s Island Steakhouse – a must-do. The steaks were incredible & it felt like a classic, elevated date night experience.
- Aolos – fresh, Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a lighter feel that I especially loved during pregnancy.
- Gatsu Gatsu – their Japanese restaurant with sushi & small plates that were so fun to share.
And for lunch? We were obsessed with the food trucks. They were quick, casual & honestly some of our favorite bites of the trip. Perfect for pool days when you don’t want to fully “stop” for a sit-down meal.
Between the variety, quality & the fact that everything is included, it made dining feel fun, easy & something we genuinely looked forward to each day.
My Favorite Moments from the Trip:
The Spa Experience (Yes, Prenatal Massages!)
One of the highlights of our trip was our couples massage — & yes, they offer prenatal massages. It was such a thoughtful touch & honestly one of the most relaxing experiences of my pregnancy. If you’re considering it … do it. You won’t regret it.
Infinity Pool Days
We found ourselves returning to the infinity pool again & again. The views overlooking the ocean are unreal. It quickly became our favorite place to unwind, float & just be present together.
Exploring Curaçao by Car
Even though the resort has everything you need, we decided to explore the island for a day & I’m so glad we did.
There’s an Enterprise rental car right on property, which made the process incredibly easy. No coordinating transportation or leaving the resort to pick up a car — it was seamless. Curaçao is beautiful & having the flexibility to explore at our own pace added such a fun element to the trip.
Our Babymoon Photoshoot
This was something we didn’t plan, but ended up being one of the most special parts of our trip. Sandals offers a complimentary photoshoot & you simply purchase the photos you love afterward. We decided to go for it last minute & I’m so thankful we did. Having those professional photos to remember this chapter of life feels so meaningful.
Final Thoughts: The Perfect Babymoon Destination
Sandals Royal Curaçao checked every box for what we wanted in a babymoon — easy, beautiful, relaxing & elevated.
Between the smooth travel experience, incredible service, thoughtful amenities (like prenatal spa options) & the ability to do as much or as little as we wanted, it truly felt like the perfect way to celebrate this season.
We left feeling refreshed, connected & so excited for what’s ahead.
And one thing’s for sure … we can’t wait to go back. Until then, we’ll continue cuddling our 5-month-old & embracing life with him now a part of it!
